# Tapatalk vs M6G Forum

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: M6G Forum at none against Tapatalk's 10. M6G Forum also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Tapatalk's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 21 months) and rating (4.4 vs 4.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tapatalk sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. M6G Forum asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tapatalk holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tapatalk has 16K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tapatalk ships an update every 2 weeks, M6G Forum every 21 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
