# Tapatalk vs ECAI

The clearest difference is ads: ECAI at none against Tapatalk's shown. ECAI also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tapatalk sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and ECAI sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tapatalk ships an update every 3 weeks, ECAI weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
