# Tapatalk vs VERO

The clearest difference is ads: VERO at none against Tapatalk's shown. VERO also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 49%). Tapatalk's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (16K vs 1.5K). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tapatalk sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and VERO sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tapatalk holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tapatalk has 16K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Tapatalk's written reviews are positive against 60% of VERO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tapatalk ships an update every 3 weeks, VERO monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
