# iCab Mobile (Web Browser) vs Proxy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iCab Mobile (Web Browser) at 66% against Proxy's 28%. iCab Mobile (Web Browser) also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (468 vs 77). Proxy's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

iCab Mobile (Web Browser) costs $2.99 and Proxy $2.99 up front. iCab Mobile (Web Browser) sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Proxy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Proxy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iCab Mobile (Web Browser) has 468 ratings behind it against 77, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of iCab Mobile (Web Browser)'s written reviews are positive against 28% of Proxy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iCab Mobile (Web Browser) ships an update every 2 weeks, Proxy every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
