# MFT Exam Pro vs MFT Exam

The clearest difference is price: MFT Exam at Free against MFT Exam Pro's $12.99. MFT Exam also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.2) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 29 months). MFT Exam Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (40% vs 20%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

MFT Exam is free to download; MFT Exam Pro costs $12.99 up front. MFT Exam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. MFT Exam Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

MFT Exam holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MFT Exam has 248 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of MFT Exam Pro's written reviews are positive against 20% of MFT Exam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MFT Exam Pro ships an update every 29 months, MFT Exam every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
