# Public vs Ode

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ode at every 5 weeks against Public's every 4 months. Public's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 61%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Public sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Ode sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Public ships an update every 4 months, Ode every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
