# Avis vs Tripsource

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Avis at 467K against Tripsource's 13K. Avis also leads on chart position (#75 vs unranked). Tripsource's advantage is review sentiment (39% vs 26%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Avis against 4.6 for Tripsource. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avis has 467K ratings behind it against 13K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 26% of Avis's written reviews are positive against 39% of Tripsource's.

Avis ships an update every 2 weeks, Tripsource fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
