# Web Images vs Proxy

The clearest difference is rating: Proxy at 4.5 against Web Images's 4.0. Proxy also leads on ratings volume (77 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 11 months). Web Images's advantage is price ($0.99 vs $2.99) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Web Images costs $0.99 and Proxy $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Proxy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Proxy has 77 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 25% of Web Images's written reviews are positive against 28% of Proxy's.

Web Images ships an update every 11 months, Proxy every 3 months. Both last shipped on September 30, 2026.
