# Running Recs vs Mythology Guide

The clearest difference is price: Mythology Guide at Free against Running Recs's $1.99. Mythology Guide also leads on update cadence (every 8 months vs every 63 months). Running Recs's advantage is rating (2.0 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Mythology Guide is free to download; Running Recs costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Running Recs holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Running Recs has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Running Recs's written reviews are positive against 88% of Mythology Guide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Running Recs ships an update every 63 months, Mythology Guide every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
