# D0TS Echoplex vs WOW Filterbox

The clearest difference is rating: WOW Filterbox at 4.6 against D0TS Echoplex's 3.1. WOW Filterbox also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 11 months). D0TS Echoplex's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (412 vs 29). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WOW Filterbox sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. D0TS Echoplex asks for nothing beyond the download.

WOW Filterbox holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: D0TS Echoplex has 412 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of D0TS Echoplex's written reviews are positive against 64% of WOW Filterbox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

D0TS Echoplex ships an update every 11 months, WOW Filterbox every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
