# iSession vs AI Chat

The clearest difference is rating: AI Chat at 4.7 against iSession's 4.0. AI Chat also leads on ratings volume (126 vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). iSession's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. iSession asks for nothing beyond the download.

AI Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat has 126 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of iSession's written reviews are positive against 25% of AI Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iSession ships an update every 5 weeks, AI Chat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
