# iSession vs Redacted

The clearest difference is price: iSession at Free against Redacted's $0.29. iSession also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 64 months) and review sentiment (39% vs 20%). Redacted's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

iSession is free to download; Redacted costs $0.29 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Redacted holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of iSession's written reviews are positive against 20% of Redacted's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iSession ships an update every 5 weeks, Redacted every 64 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
