# SPL Meter vs MyFOH

The clearest difference is price: MyFOH at Free against SPL Meter's $0.99. MyFOH also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). SPL Meter's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.5) and chart position (#81 vs unranked). On review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

MyFOH is free to download; SPL Meter costs $0.99 up front. SPL Meter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MyFOH asks for nothing beyond the download.

SPL Meter holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SPL Meter has 28 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of SPL Meter's written reviews are positive against 80% of MyFOH's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SPL Meter ships an update every 4 months, MyFOH every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
