# Springer vs Disasters Survival

The clearest difference is rating: Disasters Survival at 5.0 against Springer's 4.2. Disasters Survival also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Springer's advantage is review sentiment (98% vs 60%) and ratings volume (16 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Disasters Survival holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Springer has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 98% of Springer's written reviews are positive against 60% of Disasters Survival's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Springer ships an update every 3 months, Disasters Survival every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
