# Springer vs Cave FRVR

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Springer at 98% against Cave FRVR's 53%. Springer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Cave FRVR's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (238 vs 16). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cave FRVR sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Springer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cave FRVR holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cave FRVR has 238 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 98% of Springer's written reviews are positive against 53% of Cave FRVR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Springer ships an update every 3 months, Cave FRVR every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 6, 2026.
