# RemoteBoot WOL vs Aprox

The clearest difference is rating: Aprox at 5.0 against RemoteBoot WOL's 4.3. Aprox also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 11 months). RemoteBoot WOL's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (72% vs 43%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aprox sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. RemoteBoot WOL asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aprox holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RemoteBoot WOL has 34 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of RemoteBoot WOL's written reviews are positive against 43% of Aprox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RemoteBoot WOL ships an update every 11 months, Aprox every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
