# iPieta vs Saint Joseph

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: iPieta at none against Saint Joseph's 1. iPieta also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Saint Joseph's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Saint Joseph sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. iPieta asks for nothing beyond the download.

Saint Joseph holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 510 and 344 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of iPieta's written reviews are positive against 85% of Saint Joseph's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iPieta ships an update fortnightly, Saint Joseph every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
