# Horoscopes vs Star

The clearest difference is ads: Star at none against Horoscopes's shown. Horoscopes's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and review sentiment (71% vs 52%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Horoscopes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Star sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Horoscopes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.9K and 936 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of Horoscopes's written reviews are positive against 52% of Star's.

Horoscopes ships an update every 6 weeks, Star every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
