# Level vs Bubble Level 2022

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Level at 80% against Bubble Level 2022's 45%. Level also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Bubble Level 2022's advantage is ratings volume (6.6K vs 41) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bubble Level 2022 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bubble Level 2022 has 6.6K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Level's written reviews are positive against 45% of Bubble Level 2022's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Level ships an update every 6 months, Bubble Level 2022 every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
