# Radio vs BeeJoy

The clearest difference is price: BeeJoy at Free against Radio's $3.99. BeeJoy also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (84% vs 74%). Radio's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 13) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

BeeJoy is free to download; Radio costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Radio holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Radio has 1.1K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Radio's written reviews are positive against 84% of BeeJoy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Radio ships an update every 4 months, BeeJoy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
