# TimeLapse vs Skyflow

The clearest difference is rating: Skyflow at 4.6 against TimeLapse's 2.3. Skyflow also leads on ratings volume (590 vs 18) and review sentiment (72% vs 58%). TimeLapse's advantage is iOS requirement (8.3 vs 14.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeLapse sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Skyflow sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skyflow holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skyflow has 590 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of TimeLapse's written reviews are positive against 72% of Skyflow's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
