# iDayLite vs Overboard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Overboard at 79% against iDayLite's 24%. Overboard also leads on rating (4.6 vs 2.3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). iDayLite's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iDayLite sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and Overboard sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Overboard holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Overboard has 34 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of iDayLite's written reviews are positive against 79% of Overboard's.

iDayLite ships an update every 6 weeks, Overboard every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
