# Text Calculator vs Dropbox EMM

The clearest difference is price: Dropbox EMM at Free against Text Calculator's $0.99. Dropbox EMM also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.0) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 18 months). Text Calculator's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 19%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Dropbox EMM is free to download; Text Calculator costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dropbox EMM holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dropbox EMM has 391 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Text Calculator's written reviews are positive against 19% of Dropbox EMM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Text Calculator ships an update every 18 months, Dropbox EMM fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
