# U vs WCETV

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WCETV at 67% against U's 14%. WCETV also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 16.6). U's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (390K vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

U holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: U has 390K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of U's written reviews are positive against 67% of WCETV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

U ships an update every 3 months, WCETV every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
