# xFeed RSS Reader vs Elytra

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: xFeed RSS Reader at none against Elytra's 9. xFeed RSS Reader also leads on review sentiment (62% vs 44%) and iOS requirement (15 vs 26.0). Elytra's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and rating (3.7 vs 3.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elytra sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. xFeed RSS Reader asks for nothing beyond the download.

Elytra holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of xFeed RSS Reader's written reviews are positive against 44% of Elytra's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
