# E! News vs Bossip

The clearest difference is rating: E! News at 4.8 against Bossip's 4.0. E! News also leads on ratings volume (48K vs 44) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Bossip's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (42% vs 27%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

E! News holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: E! News has 48K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of E! News's written reviews are positive against 42% of Bossip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

E! News ships an update monthly, Bossip every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
