# Yandex Maps & Navigator vs NGTMap

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NGTMap at none against Yandex Maps & Navigator's 13. NGTMap also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 17.0). Yandex Maps & Navigator's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (40K vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yandex Maps & Navigator sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. NGTMap asks for nothing beyond the download.

NGTMap holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yandex Maps & Navigator has 40K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 38% and 38% positive.

Yandex Maps & Navigator ships an update weekly, NGTMap every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
