# Yandex Maps & Navigator vs NAV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NAV at none against Yandex Maps & Navigator's 13. NAV also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). Yandex Maps & Navigator's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (41K vs 5). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yandex Maps & Navigator sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. NAV asks for nothing beyond the download.

NAV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yandex Maps & Navigator has 41K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Yandex Maps & Navigator ships an update weekly, NAV every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
