# Guess the Code! vs Color Code

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Guess the Code! at none against Color Code's 1. Guess the Code! also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 40). Color Code's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Code sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Guess the Code! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Color Code holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guess the Code! has 2.5K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Guess the Code!'s written reviews are positive against 75% of Color Code's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guess the Code! ships an update every 3 months, Color Code every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
