# Note Tutor vs Aural Wiz

The clearest difference is rating: Aural Wiz at 4.8 against Note Tutor's 3.5. Aural Wiz also leads on ratings volume (636 vs 6). Note Tutor's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aural Wiz holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aural Wiz has 636 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Note Tutor's written reviews are positive against 76% of Aural Wiz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Note Tutor ships an update every 2 months, Aural Wiz every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
