# Tips & Tricks vs Uplock

The clearest difference is ads: Uplock at none against Tips & Tricks's shown. Uplock also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (79% vs 68%). Tips & Tricks's advantage is ratings volume (4.1K vs 121). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tips & Tricks sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Uplock sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Tips & Tricks against 4.8 for Uplock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tips & Tricks has 4.1K ratings behind it against 121, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Tips & Tricks's written reviews are positive against 79% of Uplock's.

Tips & Tricks ships an update every 5 weeks, Uplock every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
