# Shake Shack vs Cinnabon

The clearest difference is ads: Cinnabon at none against Shake Shack's shown. Cinnabon also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Shake Shack's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (611K vs 8.8K). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Shake Shack against 4.8 for Cinnabon. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shake Shack has 611K ratings behind it against 8.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 41% of Shake Shack's written reviews are positive against 34% of Cinnabon's.

Shake Shack ships an update weekly, Cinnabon every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
