# Flight Update Pro vs Flight Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Flight Tracker at free with in-app purchases against Flight Update Pro's subscription. Flight Tracker also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). Flight Update Pro's advantage is ratings volume (5.3K vs 4) and chart position (#71 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Update Pro sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Flight Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flight Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Update Pro has 5.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flight Update Pro ships an update monthly, Flight Tracker every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
