# Flight Update Pro vs Flight Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Flight Tracker at free with in-app purchases against Flight Update Pro's subscription. Flight Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). Flight Update Pro's advantage is ratings volume (5.3K vs 17) and chart position (#62 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Update Pro sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Flight Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Flight Update Pro against 4.5 for Flight Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Update Pro has 5.3K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flight Update Pro ships an update monthly, Flight Tracker every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
