# Crostix vs Laddergrams

Crostix and Laddergrams both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 81% of Crostix's written reviews are positive against 64% of Laddergrams's. Laddergrams's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (110 vs 7). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crostix sells 15 one-off in-app purchases and Laddergrams sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Crostix against 4.7 for Laddergrams. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Laddergrams has 110 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of Crostix's written reviews are positive against 64% of Laddergrams's.

Crostix ships an update every 4 months, Laddergrams every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
