# Crostix vs Cryptogram Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Crostix at 81% against Cryptogram Pro's 0%. Crostix also leads on ads (none vs shown). Cryptogram Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (146 vs 7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crostix sells 15 one-off in-app purchases and Cryptogram Pro sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cryptogram Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cryptogram Pro has 146 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Crostix's written reviews are positive against 0% of Cryptogram Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Crostix ships an update every 4 months, Cryptogram Pro every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
