# FixCamera vs Halide Mark III

The clearest difference is rating: FixCamera at 5.0 against Halide Mark III's 4.4. FixCamera also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (14.4 vs 18.0). Halide Mark III's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 42 months) and ratings volume (14K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Halide Mark III sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. FixCamera asks for nothing beyond the download.

FixCamera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Halide Mark III has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of FixCamera's written reviews are positive against 41% of Halide Mark III's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FixCamera ships an update every 42 months, Halide Mark III every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
