# Equinox+ vs Expathy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Expathy at none against Equinox+'s 1. Expathy also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Equinox+'s advantage is ratings volume (45K vs 2) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Equinox+ sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per month. Expathy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Expathy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Equinox+ has 45K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Equinox+ ships an update fortnightly, Expathy weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
