# iLogger vs Birthday Notation

The clearest difference is update cadence: Birthday Notation at monthly against iLogger's every 2 months. Birthday Notation also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iLogger sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Birthday Notation sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iLogger ships an update every 2 months, Birthday Notation monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
