# Light ＋ vs FlashLight

The clearest difference is ads: Light ＋ at none against FlashLight's shown. FlashLight's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 61%) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Light ＋ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FlashLight sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlashLight holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlashLight has 358 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Light ＋'s written reviews are positive against 82% of FlashLight's.

Light ＋ ships an update every 2 months, FlashLight monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
