# Checkers vs Ayo Game

The clearest difference is rating: Checkers at 4.7 against Ayo Game's 4.0. Checkers also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (87K vs 8). Ayo Game's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Checkers holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Checkers has 87K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Checkers's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ayo Game's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Checkers ships an update monthly, Ayo Game every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
