# Equalizer vs Equalizer Pro +

The clearest difference is rating: Equalizer Pro + at 4.2 against Equalizer's 3.3. Equalizer Pro + also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (557 vs 138). Equalizer's advantage is review sentiment (61% vs 47%) and price ($3.99 vs $4.99). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Equalizer costs $3.99 and Equalizer Pro + $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Equalizer Pro + holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 138 and 557 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Equalizer's written reviews are positive against 47% of Equalizer Pro +'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Equalizer ships an update every 2 months, Equalizer Pro + fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
