# FingerBeat vs ChordMapMidi

The clearest difference is price: FingerBeat at Free against ChordMapMidi's $3.99. FingerBeat also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 53%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). ChordMapMidi's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On ads there is nothing between them.

FingerBeat is free to download; ChordMapMidi costs $3.99 up front. FingerBeat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. ChordMapMidi asks for nothing beyond the download.

ChordMapMidi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FingerBeat has 65 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of FingerBeat's written reviews are positive against 53% of ChordMapMidi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
