# Guru Maps vs Maps 3D Neo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Guru Maps at every 10 days against Maps 3D Neo's every 2 months. Guru Maps also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 59) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guru Maps sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Maps 3D Neo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Guru Maps holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guru Maps has 3K ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Guru Maps's written reviews are positive against 77% of Maps 3D Neo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guru Maps ships an update every 10 days, Maps 3D Neo every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
