# Christie's vs Acker Wines

The clearest difference is ads: Acker Wines at none against Christie's's shown. Acker Wines also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Christie's's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 17%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Acker Wines holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 57 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Christie's's written reviews are positive against 17% of Acker Wines's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
