# Pro vs V1 Golf

The clearest difference is price: V1 Golf at Free against Pro's $1.99. V1 Golf also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 21). Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On rating, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

V1 Golf is free to download; Pro costs $1.99 up front. Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and V1 Golf sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Pro against 4.1 for V1 Golf. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: V1 Golf has 1.9K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Pro's written reviews are positive against 68% of V1 Golf's.

Pro ships an update every 3 months, V1 Golf every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
