# Screenplay vs Hyper Pal

The clearest difference is rating: Hyper Pal at 5.0 against Screenplay's 4.0. Hyper Pal also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). Screenplay's advantage is ratings volume (25 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screenplay sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Hyper Pal asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hyper Pal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screenplay has 25 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Screenplay ships an update every 2 months, Hyper Pal every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
