# Screenplay vs ScriptDraft

The clearest difference is update cadence: ScriptDraft at every 3 weeks against Screenplay's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screenplay sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ScriptDraft sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screenplay ships an update every 2 months, ScriptDraft every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
