# Flashlight™ (Lite) vs Color Screen

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Color Screen at 100% against Flashlight™ (Lite)'s 27%. Color Screen also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months). Flashlight™ (Lite)'s advantage is rating (3.9 vs 1.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Screen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Flashlight™ (Lite) asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flashlight™ (Lite) holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashlight™ (Lite) has 2.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Flashlight™ (Lite)'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Color Screen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flashlight™ (Lite) ships an update every 10 months, Color Screen every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
