# FallDown! vs Tractor Beam

The clearest difference is price: FallDown! at Free against Tractor Beam's $0.99. FallDown! also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 6) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Tractor Beam's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

FallDown! is free to download; Tractor Beam costs $0.99 up front. FallDown! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Tractor Beam asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tractor Beam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FallDown! has 2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of FallDown!'s written reviews are positive against 82% of Tractor Beam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FallDown! ships an update every 2 months, Tractor Beam every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
